James Conley a working class hero is a comprehensive documentary on the life of James Connolly. The film traces Connoly's life from his childhood and his appalling squalor of Cawgate slums in Edinburgh to the tragedy of his execution and killmainham in May 1916.  The documentary is the fullest account of a man who won't single-mindedly for a decent, just and free life for workers everywhere. It reveals how Conley was unique about his comrades, a self-taught scholar, a socialist, a Marxists and the outstanding labor leader of Ireland.
